“She had a gift of not only opening a conversation that he enjoyed, but also gained his trust.”
I was the sole caretaker of my husband with dementia. As the disease progressed, he became more and more dependent on me as I was with him 24/7. His doctors suggested that I have someone come into the house for a few hours each week so I could do errands, my hair, meet someone for lunch, or just sit on a bench and recharge my strength.
The first time I had Anne come to the house, she sat and talked to my husband, asked about his childhood, and his occupation. She had a gift of not only opening a conversation that he enjoyed, but also gained his trust, which can be very difficult for a dementia patient. In the following weeks, she had asked that I get a few photo albums and she would have him go through the pictures and ask about each one. Anne would make him lunch and sometimes take him for a walk.
Not only did she take wonderful care of my husband, but I had total peace of mind leaving the house with Anne in charge. I would highly, highly recommend Anne to take care of your loved one. — Gayle F.
… a wonderful attitude and was always willing to go beyond the “call of duty”
I can’t say enough about how thankful I am to have had Anne to provide care herself and also to provide other caregivers to take care of my elderly parents during a very stressful time. Anne has a happy disposition, a wonderful attitude and was always cheerfully willing to go beyond the “call of duty.” I really do not know what we would have done without her. — Marjorie O.
“She has taken care of patients in many different settings.”
I have known Anne for over 30 years. She has taken care of patients in many different settings including skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, as well as medical office settings and, of course, the home environment. Most recently in my own home, she (and her co-workers) helped take care of my wife who recently died of ALS. Anne has excellent skills and compassion. I highly recommend Anne and her home care services. — John F.
“She often has great suggestions on how to increase the quality of his life.”
Anne and her team have been taking care of my father in law for four years. They all do a wonderful job. Anne is especially thoughtful and caring. She really thinks carefully about my father in law and is always looking for ways to make things easier and nicer for him. Anne keeps a careful eye on his medications, diet, exercise and social life. She often has great suggestions about how to increase the quality of his life.
We are three hours away and don’t get to visit as often as we would like. My husband and I feel so much better knowing Anne is on the job and watching out for Fred. He enjoys her company and is always glad to see her. Anne truly loves Fred and it shows. — Joyce M.
